This course has water hazards coming into play on five holes. The front nine has narrow fairways and the back nine was built on rolling hills. Five of the greens on the back nine are elevated. The course was rebuilt in 1969. Three holes were also rebuilt in 1998. The signature hole is #8, a 190-yard, par 3. Although the green is large, the angle of the approach is crucial, due to a pond and several bunkers surrounding the putting surface.

Hidden gem of the north!!, Sep 06, 2006

This golf course was in wonderful shape.. ABSOLUTLY PERFECT!! Fast greens, fairways in excellant condition. Tee boxes were perfect. I would advise everyone to come and play Headwaters Country Club.

There's a reason that Headwater's had won awards from Golf Digest in the early '90s. The course is simply amazing. Headwater's is without a doubt one of the top five best country clubs in Minnesota.
