This is a very exclusinve military course. There is a pottery kiln dating back to the 1500's that is an historic attraction on this course. This island is considered to be the "Hollywood" of South Carolina because "Forrest Gump" and "The Prince of Tides" were both filmed here.

I've been to many golf courses along the Eastern Shore and I must admit this course really impressed me. I was most pleased with the upkeep of the grounds and the different degrees of difficulties throughout the course. I will definitely frequent this course, esp. as I've been informed the pins change constantly. From one golfer to another-don't miss a chance to play on a great course: The Legends.

I may be biased as The Legends Course at Parris Island is also my home course but it ranks among the best values in northern Beaufort county. Fairways and greens are kept in great shape year round, overseeded in November and consistently mowed. The course is located on a Marine Corps training base and civilians will need both a tee time (call the pro shop) and a pass, available at the main gate. Be sure to have a photo ID, car registration and proof of auto insurance. Tee times are readily available, even on weekends.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.

Hilltop Country Club
"Neatest course in Texas"
I went and played a round of golf at the Hilltop Country Club last week for the first time. It was an expereince,the course is set up real cool. I was a high school golfer who would have loved to get out of school and walk to go play golf rather than riding 30 minutes on a bus to and from practice everyday. The course is on the grounds of Troup ISD.And after I got finished playing golf I walked to the 19th and had a cold budlight.The bar has what ever you want,and the ladies were so nice.
