What can you say about a public course? The Knoll East Country Club is an overall good experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The greens roll but the stimp meter is probably 7. The bunkers sand consistency varies from bunker to bunker but so does Augusta. The fairways are well kept except for a drainage issues. In fact, fairways number one and nine are soaked like wet towels. This extra challenge really adds to the slope and rating. The front nine is tight. The East course actually has a net to catch wayward tee shots. This is a public course and rounds can easily hit five hours. Although they don't have valet service, most golfers check their edicate in the parking lot. Golfers will frequently hit up on you and not apologize. Arrogant Professionals. One woman toed her tee shot so low, just above the fairway, into a gaggle of geese. She knocked this goose down and out for the count. But before Blue could count Ten, the goose got up and wandered around in circles. It later stumbled over to the streaming river where it plopped in upside down and floated away. Disturbing. That woman later was hit by an errant tee shot on the bounce. Karma. Knoll East. What can you say? For twilight price, this course is a great deal.

This course should pay the golfer to play. The fairway's are in such poor shape. The green's are ok, but lack of changing cup location causes cupping around the hole. Go to the mini-golf course if you have any skill.

Played here 18 years ago & vowed never to return. It's apparent much needed improvements have since been made to the "East" and its a well manicured, enjoyable couse to play. The well maintained fairways & greens present a fair challenge for any weekly player.

Not a terrible course, and not very challenging either. Very long par 4 second hole is hard to get to in two, but otherwise your biggest problem here will be judging the distances and dodging other peoples shots. (if you count up all the fours you'll hear, you'll be in triple digits at least!) Also an excellent xourse to learn on, the rounds won't be quick during regular business hours
