My experiences with this course have been negative. Most of the times I have tried to play it, which have been nemerous, there have been outings or other events taking place. On two different occasions when we did get on, members in carts a number of holes behind us were following our groups; we were foursomes walking. We were approached by these members and told to catch up with the group in front of us and that if we did not we would be asked to leave. The problem is, the groups in front of us, on BOTH occasions, were threesomes in carts. There was no way, short of running, we could have stayed in position. We finished both rounds in just under four hours, 3:55 or so as I recall and made the turn in just under two hours both times. After the second incident, I have not been back since.

"New golf course that is fun to play"
Good condition, straight forward and fun to play. Plays shorter than the yardage and the ball tends to feed towards the fairways. Greens are very nice. It is an enjoyable experience and a pretty place to play. I recommend it to anyone heading to California's Antelope Valley.

A course perhaps more friendly for the long-ball hitter with more than enough water and some deviously placed sand. Access to the course requires a military affiliation or a friend who can host your play but, well worth the trip. Given its location (on base), play is seldom hampered by a crowded course which also makes it a most hospitable course for the slower player, the short ball hitter or those just learning the game. The placement of water (ponds and streams) makes for an interesting attack plan and invites disaster for the reckless. Improved traps, general landscaping and more attention to tee boxes and greens over the past two seasons has made the course much more enjoyable. The first six holes are a low rolling layout with a lot of trees in play along the fairways. The rest of the course is basically flat with several holes playing parallel to the runway and an occasional aircraft take-off or landing adding to the view. Course amenities are well maintained. Walk, pull a cart or ride in a relatively new electric cart. The golf carts are in great shape and an adjacent driving range is a plus for tuning up before hitting off of the first tee. The clubhouse has a small grill for lunch with a comfortable seating area for a beer after the game. The pro shop is equipped to handle most needs.
