This scenic course traverses across two former Carolina rice plantations. Beautiful lakes and stately oaks provide a breathtaking backdrop. The signature hole is #12, a 199-yard, par 3, with a large waste bunker area between the tee and the green. Several sand bunkers are spread throughout the course, and ruins of an old plantation also appear on the course. This course has been featured on Nature Scene, a nationally televised show, as a study of how nature and man can co-exist on a golf course. For tee time reservations call (800) 344-5590.

"west texas' best course"
A challenge for beginners, yet not so that you cant shoot par. Hole5 is the #1 handicap on the course, a challenging par 4 that will require a 260+ yard drive down the fairway then you might use anwhere from a 5 wood down to a 4 iron and get it on the green and putt for birdie, that would be the best why to play it my opinion. If you play here the greens are fast and the rough is medium, there alot of trees onthe front 9 but nothing a intermidate to a master golfer couldnt handle. So if your an ameture this the best course to play in west texas.

"Fun course... worth playing at least once"
It's a decent course. For the price, it's very good. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. $14 is cheap for 18 holes of golf. Many of the greens are strangely small. Too small in some cases. Although, since many holes are very short, the small greens make them harder, which is good. No real bunkers. There are some strange dug up pits with sand in them, but they look like an afterthought. I wish they did the bunkers correctly, or just completely left them out. There are a few very fun holes on back-9. I recommend playing the course at least once. I did play the course during winter so the greens weren't too great, but it's understandale in February. I will definately play there more in the spring when conditions will be better. Especially being a college student, I'm all for the price.
