This hilly course has tree-lined fairways and difficult greens. The greens are undulating and elevated, but no sand bunkers come into play. There are two ponds and a meandering creek that come into play on over half of the holes. The club offers a special rate from Tuesday through Thursday.

Challenging beautiful course on the lake, May 17, 2007

This course was in terrible shape 3 years ago, but has been transformed into one of the nicest 9 hole courses in Oklahoma. The greens are in great shape. The course is somewhat challenging with the water hazards and narrow par 5 ( that can be reached in 2 with a perfect tee shot). But it is a lot of fun to play. The green fees are $10.00 on the weekdays and 15.00 on the weekends. You can't find more affordable golf on such a great little course.

I began playing the Pawnee Municipal Golf Course around 20 years ago. It has always been what my friends and I call "pasture pool" but the course had always been well maintained and I had never known them to lose a green. I played there for the first time this year on September 19 and the course was in the worst shape I have ever seen. The course was only mowed sporadically, the brush was overgrown everywhere, and they had lost every one of the nine greens. I was very sad to see how the course had gone down so very much in a very short time. I doubt that I'll be making the trip from Tulsa to Pawnee for golf again anytime in the near future.

Whispering Oaks Golf & Country Club
"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

River Park Golf Course
"Under estimated"
River Park Golf Course is an amazing asset to the small town of Mackay ID. Many people including myself under estimated this golf course. When I arrived at the course I felt like I was too good of a golfer for a course like River Park but I was completely caught off guard. The narrow fairways, small quick greens and water hazards made it impossible for me to come close to paring the course the first few times. If you want a golfing challenge visit this wonderful course, where you will also be treated with genuine hospitality.
