This hilly course has tree-lined fairways and difficult greens. The greens are undulating and elevated, but no sand bunkers come into play. There are two ponds and a meandering creek that come into play on over half of the holes. The club offers a special rate from Tuesday through Thursday.

Challenging beautiful course on the lake, May 17, 2007 |

| This course was in terrible shape 3 years ago, but has been transformed into one of the nicest 9 hole courses in Oklahoma. The greens are in great shape. The course is somewhat challenging with the water hazards and narrow par 5 ( that can be reached in 2 with a perfect tee shot). But it is a lot of fun to play. The green fees are $10.00 on the weekdays and 15.00 on the weekends. You can't find more affordable golf on such a great little course. |

| I began playing the Pawnee Municipal Golf Course around 20 years ago. It has always been what my friends and I call "pasture pool" but the course had always been well maintained and I had never known them to lose a green. I played there for the first time this year on September 19 and the course was in the worst shape I have ever seen. The course was only mowed sporadically, the brush was overgrown everywhere, and they had lost every one of the nine greens. I was very sad to see how the course had gone down so very much in a very short time. I doubt that I'll be making the trip from Tulsa to Pawnee for golf again anytime in the near future. |
