This club is one of the sponsors of the AT&T National Pro Am. The course also hosted the NCAA Division 1 Golf Championships in 1992. This was the first NCGA owned course. The greens are large, and the fairways are tree lined. The 6,249-yard men's tee also has a ladies course rating of 76.5 and slope of 140.

This is a wonderfully drawn out course. Definitely on par with neighboring Pebble Beach. Walking was a little tough (not designed for a easy walk). Greens really held, but made you pay with long putts. Trees are a factor but the magnificance of this course holds true to its reputation. Staff was wonderful once they realize you have a tee time and are not trying to sneak in some free golf. Two thumbs, way, way up!

"If you get the chance to play..."
great course requiring the use of all clubs in the bag. most holes are quite challenging,at least for this (15) handicapper. most holes require keeping it in the fairway, or it's trouble. water comes into play on a few holes. blind tee shot on 18 can be a killer. don't pass up the opportunity to play! finally, being from out of town was made easier by the friendly staff.

For the money one of the best 9 hole courses in western kansas, green speeds and roll out are up there with the big boys if not better. Fairways and teeing surfaces are always in better than average condition even in the hot months. Keep it in the fairway!

"Good greens"
The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

Mount Hood Golf Course

I was surprised at how improved the conditions were at Mount Hood when I played it in the fall of 2003. There are new people running the place and I'd never believe it to be the same course I played a couple years back. One of the guys I played with was the teaching pro which made it fun and enjoyable to go around the course.
