This relatively flat course has very thick tree-lined fairways. There is an abundance of wildlife for the golfers to observe. The greens vary in size and shape, and are well bunkered. Water hazards (ten ponds) come into play on eight holes. There are special nine hole rates available, depending on the time of year.

Beautiful course, has come a long way in the few years i have been Playing. Challenging layout, that will bring every club from your bag into play. One of the best on the South shore of Boston.

The golf county coroner should pronounce this course dead, Feb 19, 2008

This place is a dump. Actually, I 've seen better landfills. I recall playing this golf course in the mid to late 1970's. During the disco era, folks used to compare this layout with the Pinehurst area courses in North Carolina. Not now. It's disappointing and another testament to the fact that NON GOLFERS should never be allowed to own a golf course. I pity the poor people of Pembroke.

the course is always challenging and in reasonable condition. it is not a new course with a rolling layout but it is nice and worth paying to play. the twilight and special rates are the way to go.

Southmoore Golf Course
"Tough Day"
I played this course with my brother,(scratch) on a Saturday in September 2003. We found it easily, we paid and went thru the rather surly starter and we were off, there wasn't much of a wait on the first tee. The first couple of holes were standard, it was a rather breezy day so I was really challenged to keep my ball on our the fairway.(this would be my problem for most of the round). Nice elavation changes, and the course looked great compared to it's neighbor,(whitetail). Dogs and beer at the turn. The back nine was just as nice as the front. Immaculate greens with challenging pin positions. Afterwards it was a couple of more beers and burgers at the lounge. Good food. If we had more time we would have gone to their fine dining restaurant, got a glance at their menu, looked really nice. great sunset too! Overall a great day.

Lufkin Country Club
"Very fun, and inexpensive."
This course is a very well kept secret in the old part of Lufkin, Texas. Not your upper tier type course but cheap for the quality. Fairways are very plush with just a very few spots that need work. And the greens, oh wow, possibly the best greens in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area (including Crown Colony). It has the very challenging holes that you need to play cautious golf, and then it has the type of holes that you can attack with everything you have. When you finish this course, you will definately want to come back for more.

Atmosphere can be snobby. Course always in good shape. Forget about a weekend tee time before 2PM.

"Beautiful Course"
For those of you who think this course is a pitch and putt course....come and try it out. It offers a lot of challenge and precision. It is by far one of the most beautiful courses in West Michigan. I travel yearly specifically to play this course and have for years. I play courses all over Michigan and Wisconsin and this one ranks in my top 10 for challenge and fun.
