There are water hazards that come into play on six holes. The greens are slow, but putt true. The last two finishing holes are two of the best holes in the valley. Hole #17 is a 185-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water. Hole #18 is a 530-yard, par 5, with water down the right side of the fairway and in front of the green. Many have tried to reach the green in two shots, but none of the members can remember anyone making it.

I see on here that it says the greens are slow. I have played it 3 times and the were fast and hard. Unable do stop a non spinning shot at all. The last 2 holes are among the best I have played. The par 3 is beautifuly landscaped and always has a rear left pin placement behind the rock and water. The par 5 is pretty much unreachable in 2. I have hit 300+ yard drives and been a 5 wood out and still splashed. Definetly recommend it to play.

Sandpiper Golf & Country Club
"A nice short course"
I have played this golf course for the last 10 years, 2 to 5 times each year at various time, usually in the winter. Sandpiper is a short course with plenty of par 3's and short par 4's. The layout makes for a slow round on the front side on a busy day. It usually opens up on the back, which is the better 9 holes. Greens are in good condition year round. Course gets more play in the winter when the ajoining retirement community is fully occupied. Long hitters have no advantage as any long drive (250 or more) puts you too close to the greens. Use irons and 4 woods off most of the tees. Any drive 200 yards down the middle is great for this course. Some holes feel too close to the homes. Can be a real challenge when windy.
