This course features many trees and sand bunkers incorporated into its design. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are small. The four par 3's on the course are all followed by par 5's. Don Herfort designed the back nine, which was opened in 1981. The 6,172-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.4 and a slope of 129.

| I have played Whitefish many times, and each time it gets better. It is a beautiful layout and very challenging track. You have to pick and choose your spots to pull out driver, because you will be playing a lot of punchouts if you're not in the fairway. The course is kept in perfect condition, and the greens are slick with a lot of them sloping back to front, so stay below the pin. Although not the longest course, you will be challenged to keep the ball in play, if you are able to do so you will have a lof wedges and 9-irons coming in to the pin. Also a lot of the greens fall off dramatically in the back..so don't be long. Don't be thrown off by the first hole, as it is fairly short and wide open, don't get use to it. |
