This course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many changes in elevation and uneven lies. The greens are fast, and the fairways are narrow. There are many trees that can alter your shots, and there are numerous sand bunkers incorporated into the course's design. The signature hole is #11, a 165-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake to a peninsula green. If the tee shot is long on this hole, the golfer will be in a stand of pine trees.

This Joel GOldstrand is a classic northern Minnesota course. It has a large practice facility and is always in good condition. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Play the Pine course

Beaver Brook Golf & Country Club
"The brook"
Beaver Brook is a nice course that was developed in the 50's. Because of that, it is not the longest course, and it is more technical than some of the more modern, open designs. The fairways are narrow and hilly with a lot of blind approach shots, and the greens are small. From the Blue it is about 6000 yards, but plays longer because of some of the second shot angles and elevated greens. If you keep it in the fairway, you can score. If you don't, it will be a long round.

Petoskey Bay View Country Club
"Cog Hill"
Great course for all levels of play. Tests players ability to keep ball in fairway, as some holes are very narrow. Beautiful tree lined fairways and very well maintained. Great clubhouse and pro shop.

Moab Golf Club
"Hot Property"
Moab is a very nice course with 2 distinct nines. The front nine send you up into the beautiful red rock canyons with some blind shots and a few elevation changes. The front side is fairly flat and wide open but nearly as pretty as the front nine.
