This course gives you every type of obstacle you would expect from a golf course. The back 9 gives you some pretty difficult challenges but the front 9 is wide open. The course is in pretty good shape and for the price, you can't beat it.

This course is a joy to play with your significant other. It is as scenic as any course around. Bird-life abounds with swans, eagles ducks, etc. on view to the watcher. Amtrak and Aberdeen, Md. Proving Grounds make up background sounds that are, to me, anyway, pleasantly interesting diversions. It is surpising to me that so many trains go by during the eighteen holes. There are many interesting holes that you enjoy playing, especially the dog-legs. I have only played this course in the winter so I can't relate to the heat, humidity and bugs of summer.

Blue Lakes Country Club
"Unreal"
Blue Lakes C.C. is one of the best courses I have played, and I have been all over the country. Deep in the Snake River Canyon, there is not one shot that isnt breath taking. Rob Ellis, has done a great job with his staff, and golf course. If anyone gets the opportunity to play this magnificant course, do not pass it up. I would pay 2ce or 3 times as much to play this course again.

"Great for all ages"
Aside from this course being played regularly by Chandler Harper (PGA hall of famer), City Park has a great youth program practically year round. Also, the course is always in great shape and, although, it is a very short 9-hole course, it is very challenging.

"Best Kept Secret In Texas"
I am a very experienced player who really enjoyed the great conditions and excellent design of this golf course. I later found out that it is a Bill Coore design. He is considered one of the best minimalist designers working today. The members of this course are hiding a real gem in Southeast Texas.

"Great Greens"
New course design and rebuild has made it one of the best in the area. You will not find greens any more beautiful. True, fast and just beautiful. I also love the changes they have made to 12, 13, 17. One of my favorite tracks.
