This course was built on rolling terrain and has tree-lined fairways. There is an excellent view of Lake Walloon from a couple of the tee boxes and greens. The well-bunkered greens vary in just about every way: size, shape, elevation, speed and undulation. There are two ponds that come into play on three holes. Jerry Matthews designed the back nine on this course.

Slick greens. Spectacular views of Walloon Lake. Course in tradition of private northern Michigan courses. Tom Watson grew up playing golf during his summers.
