Average Course, Good for Beginner or Rec Player, May 03, 2009

| This is a Florida-style, muny course, so don't expect too much. Front nine are fairly straightforward, and few holes are more than 430yds. Many par 4's are short. Pretty wide open and few dangers--excepting OB and lateral bunkers. Back nine is where the course gives some "elevation." 10th hole is one of the best on the course (others are 4th, 5th and 16th) and has a forced carry off the tee at about 260 yds. Doglegs on back nine can be cut-off. Greens are a bit slow, so hit putts hard or firm, breaks are rather few. Take care of your divots and pitch marks, and bring your own beer; the course shop sold its liquor license. |

Why did I waste my MONEY!!!, Feb 16, 2009

| I thought I was on the driving range most holes!!!
This course is and always will be in bad shape... For a course that has little drainage areas, when it rains it is SOAKED!! there is small drainage ditches running all over the course. The Front is straight on almost every hole.. NO CHALLENGE!! The back has 2 holes that are a bit challenging and 3 running up and down of each other. So other players/golfers are markers to find the fairways.. As for the staff here. I did see the Super of the course and I think he is here just for show. This course could be taken care of better by a bunch of monkeys. Last Time I waste $30 before a ball game to play some golf... This course should be turned into a scrapyard for the ShipYard in the backround... |
