This course features narrow fairways and small, fast greens. There is water that comes into play on a few holes. Locals consider hole #4, a 524-yard, par 5, to be the signature hole. The course is very hilly and well bunkered. The 1995 New Jersey State Amateur was held here.

Work in progress, Mar 19, 2011

I played this course just about every available weekend I had last year. It is a work in progress, The Fairway's showed there neglect early on in the season along with the tee box's. a very hot and dry summer did not help much.The green's were very firm and fast yet also showed sign's of being neglected for a year. This is a very difficult course for the novice golfer. Side hill lyes, deep bunkers, and very fast green's will test any amature golfer's best game. There is still alot of work going on at the course. Hopefully they can get this once beautifull course back to it's original shape.. 5 Star potential here..

"Enjoyable Round"
It is an average length course, but enjoyable. The fescue around the bunkers gives the course a nice look. There are some intersting holes such as one with a 2 tiered green right in front to make for a tough second shot from only around 60 yards. Some water but overall its fun and if you have the chance to play there do so.

"Tight and Challenging"
This course is a above average golfers dream. Length and contour is a premium. Tree lined fairways, you'd think you're in the Lincoln Tunnel.You need to play smart to score well. The below average golf will have ample oppurtunities to score well on the par 5's and the par 3's. The par 4's ,lets leave those for the big boys. In all, it is good for everyone, at a reasonable price, on a country club setting on a New England landscape.

"local and enjoyable"
Although an older course it has improved with age and with the rainy season last year (2002) the greens are fuller. A range is available and I try to get the most of my short game with the putting green. The back nine brings you up next to the airport but the single engine planes are not loud and are enjoyable to watch landing as your partner tries to keep up your great shot.

Atmosphere can be snobby. Course always in good shape. Forget about a weekend tee time before 2PM.
