Excellent Course in a Beautiful Setting, Jul 28, 2004
reviewer: Rob McCormack from Sevierville, TN
I visited Fall Creek Falls in July of 2004. I played on a Monday morning so there was no problem getting a tee time. The Pro shop was adequatley stocked and the snack bar had good food. The fairways were bermuda and the greens had bent grass. All in well manicured condition. I played the day after a severe rain storm so most of the bunkers had standing water in them and the sand was packed from the rain. I was surprised that the fairways and greens were completely drained. No puddles or mud anywhere. The course was challenging from the white tees but it was fair to a novice golfer. What the course makes up for in lack of water hazards is strategic bunkering. Even after hitting full drives (230 to 260) I would have at least a 6 to 9 iron left on most par fours. The par fives were not too tough, but the smart play was to take three shots to the green. The par threes varied in length. The greens had enough undulation to make you take a double look, but were very fair and rolled true. Over all my experience was excellent. I will go back to play this course as often as I can. I recommend it and the Inn at Fall Creek Falls to anyone.

Deer and turkeys too, Jun 12, 2004
reviewer: Lee House from Georgia
What a great place for a family outing in the cumberland plateau. Fantastic course for the average golfer. Beautiful and forgiving. Did I mention the turkeys and deer?
