Scenic Farms Golf CourseGlenwood Rd Pine Island, NY 10969 Phone: (914)258-4455
This executive course is very flat and walkable. The greens are thick and slow and have some contour. The fairways are narrow on the par 4's and wider on the par 3's. Water hazards come into play on four holes. The toughest hole is #5, a 160-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a ditch of water and onto a slightly elevated green. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays.

| Course is poorly run, the owners obviously have no idea what they are doing. They are also far from golfers and don't know the slightest tidbit about the game. Weed killer was accidentally sprayed on greens multiple times (seriously, that's not a joke). Range is composed entirely of crabgrass and patches of dirt/sand and remember your sunglasses becuase the range also faces directly into the setting sun. Unbelievabley high prices for season passes and range passes for the morbid condition that the course is actually in. In the summer the range "lights" act mainly as mosquito bait making hitting at night nearly impossible. The range lights only illuminate a 50 foot space around them so you can see your ball for 1/2 second in the dark then it's up to your imagination. Also one certain very tall and skinny employee harasses customers relentlessly and has turned off the range lights while customers have been hitting on the line on several occasions. FYI don't drink the water on the course- one hot summer day as I was finishing up my round, I stopped hoping for a cold cup of water from the cooler and little did I know that the brilliant employee mentioned above had mistakenly put soap water meant for washing clubs in the cooler rather than the bottled water that should have been there. Delicious! Thanks for ruining a course with great potential and a prime location you arrogant jerks. |
