This course is very difficult because of the fast, sloped greens. The fairways are narrow and tree lined, and there are a few water hazards and sand bunkers that come into play. This course was built on hilly terrain, so there will be a lot of uneven lies.

Golf in the Mountains, Jul 05, 2010

Course was in decent shape when we played it. Tight front nine but opens up in the back. Greens were in outstanding conditions. Sand traps are like concrete so it takes quites a stroke to get out of them. Bar is great and cheap!

One of the toughest and most perfectly maintained courses I've seen. Always has the best greens in the state. Looooooong par fours, interesting par fives and great par threes. Friendly, non-pretentious membership.

Blue Lakes Country Club
"Unreal"
Blue Lakes C.C. is one of the best courses I have played, and I have been all over the country. Deep in the Snake River Canyon, there is not one shot that isnt breath taking. Rob Ellis, has done a great job with his staff, and golf course. If anyone gets the opportunity to play this magnificant course, do not pass it up. I would pay 2ce or 3 times as much to play this course again.

Los Alamos Golf Course
"Great challenge for your game"
This course is a challenging course for the average player up to the scratch professionals. The fairways are tight and lined with sparse pine trees. The course is an old style course, which means it has incredibly small greens. The greens are probably to most true rolling greens in the state of New Mexico due to being so old. The course is short and very opportune for low scores. I really enjoyed playing this course and the people around the club. They treat you well and the rates are EXTREMELY cheap for such a quality course. I suggest taking the trip up to Los Alamos to have a great round of golf and also to enjoy the sights of the Jemez Mountains.

Leawood South Country Club
"The place to be!"
Leawood is one of the finest courses I have played in years. The greens are smooth and the fairways are quick. Play this course if you have the chance.
