This course was built on predominantly flat terrain, but there is an occasional hill that can cause an uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on ten holes. In addition, numerous sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. The signature hole is #13, a 410-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee to a small landing area, then an approach shot to a green with water nearby. The 6,089-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.4 and a slope of 120. The club only offers discounts for juniors and seniors on weekdays. The weekend green fee rate for nine holes isn't available until 3:30 PM.

"It's the people"
I love this golf course. I play in a tournament here every year. I always think I'm going to do better but it has these challenges that change my swing. You will find yourself protecting against going out of bounds, water hazards, sand, trees...they have it all. The number 9 eats me up. It's a dogleg right and if you can manage to stay away from the small canyon on the right you still have the challenge getting on the green that you better save an extra stroke for! Be careful if you go over this green....nothing but trouble. The main thing about this course is the people. They treat you like you were the only one playing that day. You will love the scenery also.

"A good winter course"
This is a good course for golfers who can have fun without elaborate amenities. Practice facilites are minimal as is the proshop. The main assets are: golf value per dollar (great senior rates), minimal paved golf car paths so a ball is seldom scuffed and ricocheted to bad places, playability through the winter as the drainage is good because only minimal grading was done during construction. Walking is easy as there are only three areas that rise 20 or thirty feet. There are some nice oak tree framed views of Mt. Rainier. On approximately 90 acres this is, consequently, a very compact course with fairways side by side, so be alert to the call of "fore" and protect yourself. You should not hesitate to yell when you strike one out of your fairway.
