This public club offers one regulation eighteen hole course and one nine hole course. The North Course (nine holes) has a few hills that can cause uneven lies. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are small. The South Course (eighteen holes) has many more hills than the North Course, but doesn't have any sand bunkers. The fairways are wide open, but they are tree lined. The greens are large, and water hazards come into play on three holes.

Improving, Apr 17, 2004
reviewer: Pete Spillane from Walpole, MA
My brothers and I have played this course for 20 years starting when it was only 18 holes. The owners having been making SMALL improvements each year but unfortunately they don't make improvements from the golfers veiwpoints. More sand in the the bunkers, less asphalt cartpaths so close to the fairways, larger teeing areas, would make the course much better to play. All in all, (the rock as it's called), is still easy to get tee times and convient and inexpensive and we usually have some fun chopping our way around.

A friendly, challenging bargain, Mar 27, 2004
reviewer: Paul A. from Medway, MA
I've played this public course many times & have never failed to have a good time. The north 9 is more wide open and a bit longer than the middle-south 18, but the addition of fairway irrigation has made the entire layout more pleasent year-round. The tight fairways of the middle-south 18 means that shaping your tee shots can lead to better approach shots. Grade changes, dog-legs and the occational bunker or water hazard yields sufficient challanges to make up for lack of length. Be aware that the $30 weekend fee is cash only. No credit cards, is a small sacrifice considering the bargain price, decent conditions and friendly staff.
