This public club offers one regulation eighteen hole course and one nine hole course. The North Course (nine holes) has a few hills that can cause uneven lies. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are small. The South Course (eighteen holes) has many more hills than the North Course, but doesn't have any sand bunkers. The fairways are wide open, but they are tree lined. The greens are large, and water hazards come into play on three holes.

| 27 hole design with the Middle and South 9 hole layouts primarily used for 18 hole rounds and the North for 9 hole rounds. For the 18 hole layout, expect small greens, few traps and keeping the big stick in your bag on alot of par 4's has to be considered from the white tees. I think playing the Blues makes it a little easier. The North course is in stark contrast to the previously mentioned layout. Much more contemporary with larger greens and longer length holes. Both are a great experience at a very reasonable price. I have played it 6+ times and enjoyed it always. Greens are slow but smooth. Tees are somewhat irregular but you can find a good teeing area. Pro Shop staff is very accomodating and personable.\\\\ Give it a try. |

Not a bad little course., Apr 14, 2004 |

| Heather Hills is a course I play a lot, mostly due to it's close location and very reasonable price. There are 3 nines (27 holes total) which usually be played in any combination, however normally the North course is reserved for 9 hole rounds and the Middle-South courses for 18. The North course is a nice links style course with some sand and few water hazards. The Middle-South course is more of a typical New England style course carved out of the woods. There are a few questionably designed holes, and play can slow down drastically in some, however, if you’re looking for a leisurely inexpensive round this is course a nice little secret. Be warned – They do not accept credit cards (but there is an ATM in the pro shop). |
