This exclusive club is proud of its many nice features, including a large practice putting green and driving range. The course's greens are well manicured, and the fairways are very plush. There is water that comes into play on ten holes, including right off the bat on hole #1, a 485-yard, par 5, which has two ponds situated in the landing area and one in front of the green, which is also backed by thick foliage. There is no water on the second hole, but the next twelve have some sort of water in the design.

This is a beautiful course, nicely laid out. Greens are in nice condition. Pace was no problem. One recommendation, they need better drainage. I've had trouble with standing water from rain two days ago. You can have a good round of golf at a good price.

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.

Lake Chabot Municipal Golf Course - Short Course
"Great views/not so great greens"
This is a great little par 3 course with some awesome views of the bay at an elevated tee (4th hole) The greens are covered with clover and are very fast. This is the best par 3 course I've played (only played a few) especially costing only $8.

Bring every club in your bag and put your thinking cap on before coming to this course. Best bet is to go out with a member or get a yardage book and stay on track for a 4 hour round. Best quote out on the golf course - "I'll either play over you, around you or through you, you take your pick."
