The terrain on this course is fairly flat and easy to walk. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are medium in size and speed. Numerous trees and sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design, so shot accuracy is at a premium. In addition, water hazards come into play on ten holes. A tee time lottery is held every Thursday; only local residents are allowed to participate in the lottery.

Great course for the price, Jun 20, 2005

A nice course for the money. I enjoyed the layout and the ability to score. The play was slow, but understandable because it was the Saturday of Father's Day. I will try it during a week day. One of the nicer public courses I've played for the price. It seems as though they take some pride in the place.

Nice course, SLOW speed, May 08, 2004

I have played this course 3 times. Since April 2004 they have opened a new club house and redone many of the holes. The club house is excellent and the course is in really good shape. My only complaint was that playing on a Friday afternoon (twilight) it tool us 5 1/2 hours to finish the round. Slow play through most of the front 9.

"Best course i have played on"
This course is the finnest course i have played on. If your looking for a challenge and some senery while your at it this is the course for you. With the somewhat more open fornt nine and the most closed back nine i have played on ever it provides a challenge to any golfer.

Knob Hill Golf Course
"One of the better ones around"
Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!

Links at City Park Golf Course, The
"Great for all ages"
Aside from this course being played regularly by Chandler Harper (PGA hall of famer), City Park has a great youth program practically year round. Also, the course is always in great shape and, although, it is a very short 9-hole course, it is very challenging.

Cairo Country Club
"Cairo is where i spend my spring break!!"
Cairo country club offers 18 holes of challenging golf. employees at the club are as generous and courteous as they come. the tree lined fairways call for consistent accuracy off the tee and some strategically placed fairway bunkers make the tee shot a placement factor. bermuda green that are well manacured. my buddy adam schuster says "its good" and my other buddy adam scott says its "da shizzle" the course really flows together throughout the 18 holes and the practice range provides a great area for preparing for the beginning of a round or fine tuning the game.
