This course gets its name from a big white barn that has been converted into the lounge. In fact, the course used to be named The White Barn. The course sits on former farmland, thus it is fairly flat. The holes make good use of the mature trees and numerous ponds. The most penal hazards are the cow pastures outside of the boundary fences. A very unique feature on this design is that there are no sand bunkers. To compensate for the lack of bunkers, the grass is usually left as long rough in front of and around the greens. Hole #3, a 521 yard, par 5, was recently nominated as one of the top par 5's in the area. This hole calls for a long drive, which will then allow a risky shot to reach the green in two. It must be straight enough to avoid the fence to the left, high enough to clear a group of tall trees and long enough to carry a pond guarding the green.

This course is absolutely great. Had a great time playing it. Next time I'm in town, you can bet I'll be visiting it again. If you're looking for a great place to play, this is it.

Beautiful course with a beautiful view. 18 challenging holes without being too challeging. Great for golfers of all abilities. Always in great shape with a friendly staff on hand at all times. Well stocked clubhouse and tasty snack bar.

Spring Valley Country Club
"Challenging course"
Spring Valley is an older club that recently upgraded the course layout. They changed 3 or 4 holes in the last few years. The course has no housing development on it and includes several holes that require specific tee shot placement. A good deal of wooded area surrounds the course and water does come into play on several holes. The clubhouse is typical country club and I suggest the prime rib. Outstanding.
