This course's fairways vary in width and are lined with thick rough and trees. The course's terrain is basically flat, but there are some small hills that can affect your lies. The large greens are undulating and very fast. During peak season, the green fees are reduced after 1 PM. This facility also has an eighteen hole putting course, and their practice facility is multi-tiered. Altogether, these facilities form a golf and practice Learning Center run by PGA teaching professionals. The 6,023-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.1 and slope of 135. The 5,376-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 71.5 and slope of 122.

best club house in southwest, best prime rib, chef colin aces the hole! too many water hazards, but hot beverage cart babes. go there.

TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

Whitney Farms Golf Club
"Tight and Challenging"
This course is a above average golfers dream. Length and contour is a premium. Tree lined fairways, you'd think you're in the Lincoln Tunnel.You need to play smart to score well. The below average golf will have ample oppurtunities to score well on the par 5's and the par 3's. The par 4's ,lets leave those for the big boys. In all, it is good for everyone, at a reasonable price, on a country club setting on a New England landscape.

"Fiarways and greens"
Tha't what it takes to score well on this course. While there are a few places where you can recover from a shot out to the right, for the most part you must stay on the fairway and hit the tiny greens to score well here.
