This is an excellent, nine hole course that doesn't get an overabundance of visitors, so the grounds are typically well-maintained. The well-established course has water hazards coming into play on several holes. The fairways are somewhat open and bordered by a standard cut of rough, and the average-sized greens vary in undulation. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Finding Hatch Bend is worth your trouble if you like to challenge yourself. This course offers the opportunity to use every shot in your bag. While the course is relatively open you cannot score well unless you take chances. The greens are fairly small but well kept and curvaceous! Depending on wind and moisture conditions, you must attack the course in several different ways. This is a low budget blue collar golf course that will test your game. The course is usually in good shape except during the worst droughts.

Knob Hill Golf Course
"One of the better ones around"
Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!

"Truly under rated...."
This place is one of the unfound treasures in the area. It is a fun, challenging course. Never a long wait. Great deal for the dollar. Greens have always been in excellent shape. Could use some help in landscaping, but I am not playing golf for the landscaping. You might want to drive up and check out the green locations on the 'blind' holes....can be deceiving. Give this place a try.
