This fairly open, flat and windy course has ponds that come into play on seven holes. The course is divided by railroad tracks, but they shouldn't come into play. There are about twenty bunkers and nearly half are greenside bunkers. The small, well-maintained greens have medium speed. The signature hole is #16, a 517-yard, par 5, which overlooks Mt. Hope Bay and bridge. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 4th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.
