Very challenging greens. They will test your putting ability and frustrate even good putters. The tight fairways will reward good drives. The greens are best approached by high shots. If you come in too low you will roll through the green. The tips card you are given are not very helpful unless you've played Pinehurst and Augusta.

This course is not as crowded as others. The greens are more difficult that other courses in the area but they are not intimdating. The course is getting better and better each year.

Del Monte Golf Course
"Del Monte -- Fun and touch -- old school"
Great course, classic layout, old style, just a wonderful golf experience. I've played Old Del Monte many times. It is a slightly shorter and yet just as fun older brother to several of the other Monterey/Carmel area courses. Oldest golf course west of the Mississippi River, it is close to the Monterey airport, close to hotels, and provides a wonderful, old-feel idea of what it was like to play on courses before big land movers shapped and sculpted the ground. It is fun to play, fun to hang around at the pro-shop/coffee shop. Just a really neat golfing experience.

Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort
"Best Public Course in the Southwest"
This golf course is quite different from any state course, or other public course I have ever played. The staff treats you like royalty right when you arrive. The cart attendants load and unload your clubs at the door. The club pros are very courteous. The course is located on the shores of Lake Texhoma, the biggest lake in Texas or Oklahoma. The layout is amazing, with the lake bordering 15 holes. It is very challenging, and very fun. This plot is some of the most beautiful, rolling terrain in all of Oklahoma. The greens are fast, with deceptive undulation, but they are still forgiving enough for the average hacker to enjoy the play along with the scenery. This was a GREAT day of golf. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys challenging golf or just a nice day in a beautiful country atmosphere.

Plantation at Leesburg, The - Cranes Roost Course
"easy course to play for the ave. golfer"
Played this course as a guest while visiting the plantation. Shot a 76 from the white tee boxes. Was able to drive two of the short par 4 holes. Maybe playing this course from the back tee boxes would be more of a challenge. Course was in great shape - nice size greens. Bunkers had plenty of sand and all were nicely raked. A good course to score on.
