The club, which is part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, has three eighteen hole courses. All three courses feature firm, very undulating greens surrounded by sand bunkers, however, the similarity ends there. The Senator Course has wide, rolling fairways reminiscent of an Irish links-style course. The signature hole is #17, a 559-yard, par 5. A deep ravine comes into play off the tee and the second shot is to a multi-tiered green perched atop a bluff. The Legislator Course winds its way through native cypress swampland and plays the tightest of the three courses. Hole #4, a 455-yard, par 4, requires a tee shot between two stands of pine trees. The green, built into a creek, adds to the beauty and difficulty of this hole. The Judge Course features wide fairways, with plenty of water coming into play. The club is built atop a 200-foot bluff overlooking the Alabama River, with a view of the glistening state capitol of Montgomery thirteen miles to the south. Perhaps as impressive as the variety of terrain is the 40-acre practice facility, featuring 1,000 yards of tee space. Ever-changing and ever-challenging, Capitol Hill provides a memorable experience for golfers of every skill level. Straight is great, Apr 17, 2004

This course, in which water is found on 14 holes, rewards the straight hitter. Not punishingly long from the whites, it would be brutal from the tips. Getting to the green is the first challenge, putting it is even tougher. Each green is at least separate putting areas and being on the wrong side is three-jack city. Great views on the first, and several par 3s on the back. A must play in Central Alabama
