All three courses feature firm, very undulating greens surrounded by sand bunkers, however, the similarity ends there. The Senator Course has wide, rolling fairways reminiscent of an Irish links-style course. The signature hole is #17, a 559-yard, par 5. A deep ravine comes into play off the tee and the second shot is to a multi-tiered green perched atop a bluff. The Legislator Course winds its way through native cypress swampland and plays the tightest of the three courses. Hole #4, a 455-yard, par 4, requires a tee shot between two stands of pine trees. The green, built into a creek, adds to the beauty and difficulty of this hole. The Judge Course features wide fairways, with plenty of water coming into play. The club is built atop a 200-foot bluff overlooking the Alabama River, with a view of the glistening state capitol of Montgomery thirteen miles to the south. Perhaps as impressive as the variety of terrain is the 40-acre practice facility, featuring 1,000 yards of tee space. Ever-changing and ever-challenging, Capitol Hill provides a memorable experience for golfers of every skill level.
