A fun course, Dec 04, 2011
reviewer: Kevin from Latham
I just finished playing the course today and it continues to be in great shape. The owners have already begun some off-season improvements including a new tee on the 13th hole. I played the course over two dozen times this year and consider it my "home" course. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy great greens and a four-hour round.

Outstanding, Apr 08, 2009

My Family and I had a Golf Tournament at Briar Creek last summer and it was just an amazing, well organized, professional experience. Bill and Jack Sise are two of the nicest guys I've ever come across. They helped me with the organizing of our family reunion tournament. The prices are great, the food is delicious. The Golf Course is in great shape, the greens are some of the best in the Capital Region. The entire staff at Briar Creek aim to please. The whole experience from beginning to end was top notch. Bill and Jack made our Family Reunion one to remember. Thank You so much.

Great Round of Golf, Dec 27, 2007
reviewer: Jim from Colonie, NY
I heard about this course from a friend and played it when I had family come to town. The course is a little shorter (5500+ yds.) than others I have played, but the greens are in great shape and we played in four hours on a Saturday morning. We had a lot of fun and returned the next day to play again. I will definitely be back with my local friends.

Fun course to play, Dec 08, 2007
reviewer: Jerry from Albany, NY
I played this course this past summer for the first time in 10 years. The owners have put a lot of work (new tees, bunkers, trees)into improving it from what I remember. The greens, although medium speed, are some of the best conditioned ones in the Capital District. You can count on a four hour round, even on the weekends, and the prices are very reasonable. It is a bit short, but postage stamp greens require you to hit a good iron into the greens. A good test of golf for intermediate golfers and those who just want to enjoy a good day of golf.

I Found Our Course to Play and Play Again!, Oct 25, 2007
reviewer: Mike and Kathy Jablonski from Schenectady, NY
I would suggest that the person from Scotia go play golf there and not rely on 20 years ago. I played there last week and it was a most enjoyable experience and I hope to get another round in before it gets too cold. We played the front nine smart by using a 3 wood off the tee for holes #1, #3, #4 and #8. We were still able to reach the green in regulation and I made 3 of 4 pars. The par threes are very challenging and they cost me strokes. Always hit your tee shot below the pin on number 5. Then coming down from tee to green on the par 5 number 6 we were challenged by a lateral hazard along the right and water hazard which is blocked by a big willow. A great looking hole with the leaves changing colors. We had a great sandwich on the turn and I finished with 4 pars on the back nine and using driver, three wood, wedge and putter I had my only birdie of the day on number 18! Great Time Had By All. I broke 80 and my wife broke 90.

It is a great layout for the average and above average golfer with the *BEST* greens in the Capital District. Enjoyable round of golf without the hassle. I look forward to playing there again.
