This course has fifteen lakes that come into play, so expect water on almost every hole. The terrain is very hilly. The signature hole is #17, a 190-yard, par 3, requiring a downhill tee shot from off an elevated tee over a lake fed by a waterfall to the green. The front nine was renovated in 1997, and the back nine was renovated in 1998.

I have had the pleasure to play the Glen Oaks course while on business in the Louisville area on a couple occasions. From the challenging dogleg par 4 on #1 to the picturesque par three #17, the course was in great shape and very playable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I have enjoyed this course for over 10 years. It seems to be a well-kept secret, however. The owner of the course and his wife are the finest folks you will ever meet. Although the course is short, it is demanding. You must place your shots very well in order to shoot a good round. Stop by and say hello to the nice folks that own and run the course.

September 2004.. Just an average course. Not taken care of like it was in the early 90's. Cartpaths nearly undriveable due to broken pavement and potholes. Several greens in poor condition. Sandtraps washedout. Overrated and Overpriced!!!!
