This course is very difficult because each fairway is tree lined and water hazards come into play on many holes. Most of the fairways are narrow and well bunkered. The club annually hosts the Nike Tour's Utah Classic. The pro shop doesn't open until noon on Monday.

Challenging and fun, Jun 05, 2004

This par 72 course is beautiful to look at and very exciting to play. Every hole is riddled with danger and if you're not careful you'll be in a bunker or worse. The faiways are fairly easy to hit as long as you keep the shot on line. The rough is always short but very thick and can be difficult to shoot from close to the greens which run simi-fast. The greens are hard and difficult to stick from beyond 180 yards. Almost all the greens are sloped and make putting a real challenge. In short it's a great course to improve your game and a fun place to play. It is a members only course but members may invite guests to play.

A great north-west Ind. course. Just off of Rt. 41.Reasonably priced-senior discounts-early bird specials-as well as yearly membership rates.-Has a great practice range and putting area. Lakeland Hills Golf Course
"Getting better every day"
Lakeland is a great course for the money. New owners took over is 2002 or so. Hard to remember because we don't play it regularly. They have added new features every year, trees, bridges, new tee boxes, etc.The front nine is fairly open, hard to get into too much trouble. Watch out for some water. We prefer the back nine. It's a little more hilly, still has some water. Nothing to worry about. Lakeland has the best drainage of any course we have ever seen. It is open unless there is snow on the ground. We have played this course in Feb., when a winter thaw and 50 degree days suprized us all. Just played in on Jan 3, 2004 when we has another winter warm spell. Jackson has lots and lots of great courses. No one would ever be disappointed taking a golfing holiday in Jackson, Michigan.

"DCC review"
This is a wonderful course, beautifully maintained all around. The only possible knock is that if you haven't been playing for very long then it might be too difficult to you. None the less, its a must play for anyone who gets the chance.

Tight, beautiful fairways. Small demanding green that role true. By mid to late summer, greens are at least 10 on the stemp meter.
