This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. All the courses are narrow and tree lined. There are many sand bunkers throughout these courses. The greens are large, undulating, and maintained at average speeds. The terrain is mostly flat, but Mt. Rainier comes into play on a couple of holes. This facility's signature hole is #4 an the Green Course, a 547-yard, par 5, which goes straight up the side of Mount Rainier.

if you like scaring up your clubs, and like slow play and rude marshalls this might be the place for you! I recomend that you borrow someone else clubs or stop off at a thrift store before playing this course cause you will scruff the bottom of your clubs, locals carry an extra club " Rock Club " good luck and stay out of the tree's

The courses are of championship caliber and you will pay the price if you stray from the fairways. Make it a focal point to keep the ball in play and you will be rewarded and have enjoyable round.

I have played several rounds of golf at lipoma firs, the most confusing combination is the blue/gold 18 hole combo. The reason for this being that the blue course is mostly shaded so the green speed is medium to medium fast, the gold course is very open and filled with sun, therefore the greens are much dryer and much quicker. There is also a major difference in terrain between the two sections. the blue section is a more layed out course with some sloping and moderatly undulating greens. the gold section is a rollercoaster of a course having several greens that are 15+ yards above or below the tee box. All three of the 9 hole sections at lipoma firs are great as far as difficulty due to tight fairways and undulating greens.

Lipoma Firs is WAY out of the way for most people, but the course is actually a great value. For a very reasonable price, you get well maintained fairways, fast greens without much wear and tear (not too many people out there, y'know?) and some of the best clear weather views around. It's not the longest course, and it wont impress you with the creativity of the layout, but with 3 9 hole courses from which to build your 18 it should never be boring. I almost feel bad writing a glowing revue, I would like to keep the place from getting too crowded, but I suppose the location takes care of that. In any case, if you are local to the Puyallup, Graham or Orting area, Lipoma is definitely worth checking out.

It's a great course, imagine winter season you still get ball rolls about 20 to 30 yards it's like playing during summer, so dry and the greens are really fast and in good shape, play this golf course, believe me, you gonna have lots of fun.
