This course was built in a heavily-wooded area. Virtually every hole is lined by evergreens. The greens are flat and generally quite small. They are protected by bunkers and a few are elevated. Water comes into play frequently. The course was redesigned by Alfred Tull in 1954. Members may call for tee time reservations for weekends after 8 AM every Wednesday.

The course has rebounded very well from the second wettest year on record. The Burmuda fairways are the best on the Eastern Shore!

"Fun course... worth playing at least once"
It's a decent course. For the price, it's very good. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. $14 is cheap for 18 holes of golf. Many of the greens are strangely small. Too small in some cases. Although, since many holes are very short, the small greens make them harder, which is good. No real bunkers. There are some strange dug up pits with sand in them, but they look like an afterthought. I wish they did the bunkers correctly, or just completely left them out. There are a few very fun holes on back-9. I recommend playing the course at least once. I did play the course during winter so the greens weren't too great, but it's understandale in February. I will definately play there more in the spring when conditions will be better. Especially being a college student, I'm all for the price.

Midlakes Club
"Outstanding lake views"
Midlakes was a joy to play, the expansive views of Skaneateles Lake were unlike any I have seen in this area of New York. Fairways were lush, lots of tee choices, but a bit short. Still was challenging though for us average golfers. 5 stars for the scenery, 3-4 for the rest.
