This course's fairways are lined by approximately 2,000 trees. A creek flows throughout the course that comes into play on a few holes. The terrain is fairly level, so the course is easy to walk. There is an additional men's tee that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Great course, Mar 16, 2004

I learned how to play on this course. It is a great course. It's pretty short, but enjoyable. If you make it through redding with some time definitely take a few hours and play nine or even eighteen. It is also a good value. For students it is only $6 or 9 regular. At least the last time I was there.

"Tough fair course"
This course has fast greens and is kept in good shape. The fairways arent long but are tight in places. Nice layout with plenty of water and traps.

Desert Hills Golf Club
"What a golf course should be."
I have played this private course 5-6 times since 1992 and have enjoyed it every time. Recently I played as a guest in a small tournament and the course was in excellent condition. There are 8 other courses in this retirement community, several owned and managed by large course management groups, but they are not in the same class as this one as far as quality is concerned. There are few if any divots on the greens, all players seem to be very conscious of divot repair on the entire course, including the rough, facilities are clean and fresh, clubhouse is pleasant and modern and the staff is great. I have just joined and am thrilled to death with a life-time membership to look forward to!

Golf Club at Cimarron Trails, The
"My review"
Cimarron Trails is one of the most challenging and exciting courses I have played in my lifetime of golfing. I would recommend this course to any serious and/or just weekend golfers. The first minte entering the spetacular and spacious clubhouse you get a feeling of something special happening. It smells like golf and it is golf incarnate. If you do one thing in your life as a golfer it should be to play at least one round at Cimarron Trails. Regards, Hugh
