This Scottish links-style course is owned by relatives of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The course is fifteen minutes from Seattle, behind two huge lakes; Washington and Sammamish. One of two floating bridges over Lake Washington, with the roadway set on pontoons, must be traversed to get there. The land was originally a dairy farm, so the fairways are open. The greens are large, undulating, and have medium speed. The terrain is flat, and water comes into play on fourteen holes. Construction began on a second course in 1998, and eventually an executive nine will be added. Nine-hole play is only permitted after 2 PM on weekends. Construction is expected to be complete in the year 2000.

Slow rounds and poor service, Oct 16, 2007

Can't recommend this course because of slow pace of play. Service was poor and the course marshals didn't do anything to help speed up the pace of play.

"Weekend Excursion"
It's the offseason now and we've just returned from 27 holes at Tamahka Trails. The rate was very reasonable, service second to none and the course ... well this old cajun boy has never played a finer course in his life and may never still. The people made us feel as though we never left our home town. They treat you with kindness and respect, catering to your every whim. Let me tell you it was one of the very best golf outings I've ever had (and plan to have again). If you would like to experience golf as it should be ... try Tamahka Trails. You won't be disappointed. And by the way ... for a course this nice the seasonal rates are good also. See you there ...
