This is a short and traditional course. The fairways are lined with mature trees, making them fairly narrow. The greens are in excellent shape and extremely fast. The signature hole is #7, a 209-yard, par 3, requiring the average player to give it all they've got in order to reach its slightly uphill green.

A Tiny Gem for Donald Ross, Feb 17, 2004

Donald Ross designed this 9-hole jewel in the 1920's. It has several tough holes and a number of beauties. Ross used the rolling central NC terrain nicely on this course.

"First time golfer"
First course I played since getting into golf, played 11 times. Lots of hazards and had fun playing. Would still be there except 60 par can't help building my handycap. A little costly for a exec course and for a new golfer, for the same or less you can play full 72.

Don't expect great things.. but if you just want to get in a quick 9 holes of knocking the ball around, this is cheap, convenient and fun. My girlfriend and I played on Sunday for $20 total.

Course was in great shape. Challenging layout. Greens very undulating but consistent. Denim NOT allowed as it says above!! Pro shop staff and starter were courteous and friendly and helpful to first time players. Food and beverage is a snack bar NOT a restaurant. Close enough to Charleston , if you stay near the course all of the things Charelston has to offer and there are many are only one-half hour away
