This hilly course is highlighted by its extremely narrow fairways. The signature hole is #7, a 392-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot through a tunnel of trees and up a dogleg right fairway. Water hazards only come into play on two holes. Senior and junior discounts are only available on the weekdays.

"Bear Creek very pleasureable course to play for the experience"
Bear Creek is a very pleasureable course to play. To the unexperienced golfer it may appear difficult, and it is. Bear Creek is one of the hardest courses in Washington. Surrounded by beautiful homes and beautiful mountain views it is not only a challenging course but a scenic one.After living in the commnunity for several years take it from someone who knows, BEar Creek is the way to go!

Wendigo Golf Club
"3 today 4-5 tomorrow"
18 months ago this course was finally purchased by someone who really wanted to make a statement about the course. They finally finished off the exiting log structure into a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/bar. With fantastic views of the course, there are few clubhouses that can beat this "19th hole". The course itself did need some work, the greens looked like they had had some issues over the winter. There are plans underway to relocate holes 8 & 9 (which is a good thing, they are probably the most blah holes on the course) and build a 60 room hotel. All-in-all the course is still one of my favorite courses up in GR. Some TLC to the greens and this course is one of the best in northern Minnesota.

Glen Arven Country Club
"A Great Place to Visit"
Glen Arven was a grand place to play golf, swim, play tennis, or to eat some food. They really do have a family atmosphere!

Canyon Oaks Country Club
"Canyon Oaks"
Not an easy course by any means. Difficult course until you learn how to play it. Pretty open fairways, but water coming into play on most holes. Most fairways are sloped either right or left. Greens are fairly small, and usually soft so they hold easy.
