This course features a classic design and is highlighted by a 70-acre lake and large pecan trees throughout. The gently-rolling fairways, with their generous landing areas, play to small, subtly-undulating, elevated greens. The finishing hole, a 540-yards, par 5, is the jewel of the layout. With a lake running from tee to green, as well as huge target bunkers, this dogleg right offers a high risk-reward factor.

| Shadow Hawk is a beautiful venue. The course is hard to rate in the middle of winter when the trees are not in bloom and leafy. The fairways are open and more than fair. The greens are as challenging as they come. They are filled with undulations that make straight putts rare. The greens roll fair and pretty fast. The clubhouse is very classy and comfortable (in winter, nicer than the course itself). I would hope to play this course again in summer (heat and all) to see the beauty. It was still fun and challenging for this 15 handicap player, |
