Good Beginner Course, Jul 21, 2004

The course is not designed for the seasoned golfer. It is designed for beginners/moderates who are looking to learn and improve. If you shoot in the 80s, you should not look to this course but if you are just starting, check out this course. It has some challenging holes but more confidence building holes.

This cource is an above average in its greens but in its fairways and ability this is a very simple cource for many advanced players. I recomend Playing this cource for its enjoyment to everyone, for advanced players to players who just have beugun

Royal Oak Resort & Golf Club
"More for Less"
Royal Oak is hidden gem. It offers more golf for less money than any other course in the area. This Dick Wilson designed track has elevation changes and terrain not found on many Florida courses. Sadly, it needs an influx of cash to add to its rating. The two biggest problems that I see are the lack of sand in the bunkers and the club house in need of renovation. You will find the course a great value and the staff congenial.

"Best Secret in NKY"
Hickory Sticks is an unearthed gem. The condition of the course is near perfect. Because of the location (hidden but only 15 min. from I-275) makes this a logical place to play a quick undisturbed round.

Nice Range, a great Par three Chip and Putt, if you don't have time for a full game. Very helpful staff. This is a true family center. Full Course you can learn on and still have fun, nice Chip and Putt and mini-golf for the kids. A fair price for the working man. No I don't own the place.

Dobson Ranch Golf Course
" Great Experience"
We played Dobson Ranch and found the course to be player friendly but still had challenging greens. The overall condition of the course was great with the exception of the sand traps which could be better. The friendly staff in the Pro Shop made for a great experience.
