Even though this course was built on flat terrain, it is still very demanding. There are many greenside sand bunkers incorporated into the course's design. The PGA Qualifying Tournament was held here in 1994, as well as The Players West Tournament. The signature hole is #14, a 431-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a narrow fairway guarded by elm trees, then an approach shot to a green that is narrow and slopes from back to front.

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

This is a great little course, with spectacular service, and subtle course designs that will keep your mind engaged, but will allow you to enjoy the peacefulness this sport provides. The grounds crew is continually trying to improve the courses conditions, and the golfers experiences as he/she works their way around to their best round ever.
