This course's front nine is shorter and easier than its back nine. The back nine features water hazards coming into play on five holes, including a natural swamp that is home to an endangered species of turtles. The signature hole is #11, a 336-yard, par 4, which requires a player to hit an approach shot over water to the green. The course has a lottery for weekend tee times. Friday tee times must be prepaid.

A good track for any one the front is a bit plain and fairly easy. The back nine is the challenge with water in play and elevation changes. Course is maintained reasonably well and the price is fair for out of towners.

Excellent back nine from blue tee's, course just needs stronger par 3's to really make it shine. always in great shape and worth the green fee's

As a resident of Ridgefield, the course is paradise, for $20 it is the most enjoayble way to spend 4 hours (5 on weekends) with your clothes on.

One of the Better Kept Secrets in Fairfield County, Mar 13, 2007
reviewer: Al from Bedford, NY
This is a very well maintained and efficiently run Muni Course. The front nine, while easier than the back, challenges you but does allow you to get your game on track for the back nine which will demand your best. Non-Residents of Ridgefield can get Tee Times with relative ease. They also have a well run "walk up" policy which almost assures you of getting out as a single. Once you play this Course you will want to keep coming back.

great deal for the money, Jun 03, 2006

I play most of the local Fairfield county courses and keep coming back here. Twilight time is a great buy, otherwise its average $ to play. The Front is a bit dull and the par 3s need upgrading to make them stand out. The back is as good of a 9 holes that there is in the area and will really challange you. The greens are quick about 8-9 stimp and well maintained. The only knock I have is the need to keep upgrading the layout with traps and make the existing traps deeper, and possibly retooling the par 3s to make them more usefull.

WORST COURSE EVER, Jul 14, 2005
reviewer: Phil Buchsman from New York, NY USA
This course is not well kept. The greens are usually dried out and the fairways aren't kept great. This course is very hilly making it very hard for you walkers. Also there are alot of water hazards on alot of the holes. The tee boxes aren't kept up to date either. And then the prices... this is outrageous! It is $30 for a non-resident without anything else. But if you set up a time for 12 you might as well get there at 12:00 instead of earlier. I went out the other day and had a tee time of 11:00 and was teeing off on the second tee at 12:30. This is not a course to take advantage of the money you spent but a layed back course. Unless you are a family or people that don'e look for hard courses this is the one for you. The fairways are wide and the greens couldn't be easier to hit.
