This executive course is very wide open with average-sized fairways that are undulating and fast. There is one lake on the course that comes into play on three holes, primarily on the course's signature hole, #17, a 127-yard, par 3. Strategy on this hole critically depends on a prevailing wind from the left. If the wind is present, a low punch shot is recommended. If no wind exists, golfers may opt for a high tee shot onto the green.

Not your average course, May 30, 2005

Although there are several par 4's which you can use a driver on,there are several par 3, 85 to 105 yard holes too!!! This 85 yard type of hole was new to me but it really stresses ones iron play!!! Teeing off with a pitching wedge was something new to me but that could quite possibly be more challenging than teeing off on a par 5 with ones driver!!! Lots of fun on this course. New golfers shouldn't go on busy days because this course although easily walked is often used by cart users and they get moody and so does the marshal who is not to friendly anyway, even on a good day,but go there and you will have lots of fun...I guarentee it!!! Happy Golfing

Great course if your looking for something really different in Florida. With the exception of the Clermont area of Florida you won't find a course more reminiscent of golfing in the Carolina hills.Green fees are very reasonable and you won't be disappointed with the condition.

Riverton Golf Club
"Great value/tough holes"
This course starts with the hardest starting hole in the Rochester area. Dogleg par 5 with Genesee River on the left the entire way. Second hole is a tough par 4 with bunkers in front of the green. Water comes into play on 5 holes. Greens and fairway are normally in great condition. It's a 9 holer, but for a good challenge at a nice price, you can't beat Riverton. I now live in AZ and refuse to pay what they want for a round out here.

Country Oaks Golf Course
"Good Course"
I am a beginner golfer, and this is the place i am learning how to play. The staff is friendly and the other players always lend a helping hand. the course isnt too difficult, but its not easy. especially holes 2 and 6 where you have to hit over water. It's a nice course to play and I recomend it to anyone in the area.
