This course is located in the foothills of Riverside. The hilly fairways are undulating, somewhat wide open, tree lined and loaded with a variety of elevation changes. The water hazards only come into play on two holes, #10 and #18. There are many large sand bunkers placed strategically around the greens and on the fairways. The large greens are undulating, fast, and difficult to read at times because of the sloping terrain. Even when the weather is hot, the maintenance crew works hard to keep the greens soft enough to hold your shots. Many of the narrow fairways are lined with out-of-bounds stakes, and all of them are bordered by a thick cut of rough. The most difficult hole on the course is #11, a 441-yard, par 4, requiring a long tee shot up a sharp-breaking dogleg left fairway, then a long approach shot to an elevated green, if you come up short you'll find your ball sliding down a steep embankment to the right, leaving you with a blind third shot. In the late afternoons, the wind becomes a factor, making this already difficult course a little more strenuous. This club is home to the SCPGA Senior's Championship and the Inland Empire Amateur Championship. During the summer months, this club offers an afternoon special, which includes a green fee and cart.

A great day 05/15/09, May 17, 2009
reviewer: Rick McDowell from Orange County, Ca.
I played at Jurupa on Friday 05/15/09 for the first time in almost five years. I used to play every Friday at this course and I always loved the course. The course is undr new management and they have really improved the overall condition of the course. The greens were almost perfect! The fairways well watered and maintained! Everything was extremely nice. The ladys working in the grill are the same ones and are absolutely great! Best burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches that you can get at a golf course grill! The unbelievable part is the rates. $28 for senior rate(over 50). This is a true gem!I have arranged to bring our golf group of 40 guys to play next month.Enjoy your round here and please repair your divits and ball marks for the benefit of all that get to play this wonderful course!

home sweet home, Jun 08, 2004
reviewer: Matt from Upland, CA
This is the place I grew up playing about 11 years ago so I should know what a great course this is, and I can tell you how difficult it is, especially with a huge tree in the center of the 16th hole. If you don't hit a perfict shot off the tee then you have an even harder second shot, and it's a really tough berdie. So if you want a challanging round of golf for low rates, then come to Jurupa Hills. Have Fun!!!!

Fun course, difficult holes, May 24, 2004
reviewer: Matt from Upland, CA USA
This course is very nice with reasonable rates. The 10th hole was the number two handicap and I Birdied it, sum luck huh. All in all this was a fun course to play. The 16th hole has a huge oak tree in the middle of the fareway so you have to play around it. Have Fun!!

good course, uncrowded, reasonable rates, Mar 23, 2004
reviewer: Jimmy from Hacienda Heights, CA, USA
Jurupa Hills CC really is an unsung course that's rarely crowded, yet offers golfers of every level a very challenging round. Mature trees, nice fairways, well-maintained (and hard to read!) greens, unique holes...what more can you ask for? Plus, geting tee times is usually much easier than other nearby courses. As mentioned, the prices is reasonable, and you get a good test of golf. Just don't spread the word too much so we can keep it under the radar.
