This course was built in 1926 by Donald Ross and hasn't been altered since. All the fairways are narrow, and some holes feature dogleg fairways. Water hazards (a creek and ponds) come into play on six holes. The small greens are undulating and well bunkered. The signature hole is #17, a 340-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a thickly tree-lined fairway and past two large fairway bunkers, then an approach shot to a well-bunkered green. The view from this green overlooks the entire valley. You may only walk this course after 3 PM.

| Roaring Gap Golf Club is an awesome golf course that is a blast to play. I love playing there but i'm only able to in the summer. It is an awesome getaway and a challenging course for its length. I love the view on the 17th green. The golf pro is very nice and a very good teacher. I would recommend for all of yall to go play this golf course because i promise that you will love it. It is also a very pretty course with deer walking through the fairways and a lot of other creatures. You will remember it for a long time and want to come back and play it again. |
