This course was built on rolling terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies. In addition, water hazards come into play on fourteen holes. The undulating greens vary in size and shape, and three of the fairways are doglegs. This picturesque course blends in beautifully with the topography, featuring 100 year-old trees lining many of the fairways. Quail Creak meanders through both the front and back nines (the back nine was added in the early 60's, featuring the new concept of design, while the original nine was built in 1920). This club once hosted PGA Tour events from 1966 to 1972. Lee Trevino said, "I have played all over the world and Quail Creek is one of the most enjoyable courses I have ever played."

Who new Robinson, Illinois had such a great golf course. I played there 4 times this year, the year started off tough because the Bermuda grass dis not grow in as expected. As the year has progressed the course is now in excellent condition and a test for the ability of all players regardless of handicapp. Well work a trip over. p.s. The fishing wasn't bad either.

We are not members of your club, and the members believed they were better than us...It had been a long, hot day, and a few beers sounded just about right...We walked into the bar, and was refused service. The bartender was obnoxious and all the patrons of the bar were rude. I am a bigger person than them, so at the time I did nothing...Now, I just don't believe they should have a 5 star rating...They don't deserve it

I heard that this was one of the best courses in the area. After playing it I can agree. This course offers all you can ask for in one round of golf. The course is absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are in the area or want to get away for the weekend this is a must play not to mention a steal for the price. They also have a resort on the property for weekend getaways. Have fun and keep it in the fairway on this one. This course play 7 or 8 shots harder from the rough.
