This course, located in a country setting, was built on rolling terrain. The front nine is wide open, but the back nine was carved out of the natural forest. The large greens are undulating and elevated. Water hazards come into play on eleven holes. This course's most difficult hole is #17, a 452-yard, uphill par 4, requiring a tee shot over water to a small landing area. Golfers of all skill levels will find this course a challenge. The course is overseeded in winter to ensure excellent golf throughout the year. Discounts are only available to junior high and high school students during the weekdays.

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

Riverside Country Club
"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.

"Good course to teach your kids"
This is a good course to teach tour kids how to golf, because it is a moderately short course. I took my 8 year old son golfing there, and he shot a 58! Not too bad for his first time out, and he had a blast!We have been back twice and can't wait for sping to go again.

Riverview Golf Course
"Best 9 holes around"
Riverview is the perfect practice course when you don't have time for 18. It's long enough to be interesting and offers enough challenges to allow practice on all aspects of your game. The course has good greens, challenging sand traps and water hazards you can't see--until its too late. Its also fun to play.
