Most of the fairways are tree lined, and all of them are bordered by a thick cut of rough. The medium-sized greens are moderately undulating and fast.

| I love this golf course, but for all the wrong reasons. Like the reviewer above this is where I played as a kid. My parents would drop us off and would return a couple of hours later. My first birdie came on the par 3 first when I was 12 or 13. The first time I hit a house came on the par 4 8th. The most beautiful hole is number 5...it's a par 3 with an old white barn directly behind it (by the way I've hit the barn, too.) Listen this is not Augusta or Pebble Beach...but I love this place because it is where I learned to love the game. I've played far better courses, but the best thing I can say about Hampton is when the time comes for my son to take up the game this is where I am going to bring him. |

A little bit run down, but still not bad!, Sep 19, 2004 |

| A pretty nice little executive type layout with only par 3s and 4s. A user friendly design makes for a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The owners were very friendly and apparently just took it over after the previous owners let it run down a little. No sand in the traps and the greens were a little rough but overall pretty representative of the genre. We walked on without a tee time in the middle of the afternoon and played 9 holes in a bout an hour and a half. Wouldn't drive out of my way but if you're in the neighborhood and have some extra time or just starting to teach your wife or kids it might make for a good place to start. |

| This is about as basic a course as you can get. I played here as a kid because it was cheep and I had a good time. Definitely a good place for beginners and small children, but not so much if you have teed it up long. |
