This eighteen hole course is links in layout design. The club advertises having the largest, most undulating greens in southern Minnesota. The greens and tees are elevated. Although this is a links course, the fairways are very tight with small landing areas, which places a premium on accuracy. Do not be fooled by the course ratings and slope, this is a very challenging golf course that will force the golfer into using every club in his or her bag. Water hazards, in the form of creeks and ponds, come into play on fifteen holes. The signature hole is #2, a 550-yard, par 5, which requires a tee shot over water. After successfully clearing the water, the golfer is given another choice on the second shot, either clear another water hazard or lay up. The green is large with water on the backside and a sand bunker guarding the right. Par on this hole is a good score.

| When I first played this course I hated it. It was confusing going from tee-to-tee & lost a lot of balls. I gave this course another try last year & I'm glad I did. High-handicappers will struggle on it if they do not play it properly as it is a "thinking-man's" golf course. You have several options off the tee & using your driver on every hole is a no-no. It has a British-links feel & water comes into play 15 holes. I play to a 20 handicap & was able to break 90 on this course. I've also shot some big numbers but overall I find this course very playable. It is a very walkable course which is unlike a lot of the more hilly courses in the area. If you don't like it at first, give it another shot. Maybe you'll suprise yourself. |

| This course is a joke. From the unmowed fairways to the sparse details defining the course this place was a nightmare. Just try figuring out where the teebox is on the the next hole.
Starter told our group of three to keep carts 30 yards away from greens when their own printed information says 30 feet.
They mow the place during the day running over players balls.
Granted I am not 80 shooter and do expect to lose at times 2-3 balls per round but I ended up losing 10 during our 18 holes here with over half of those being in the fairways and short rough.
Glad I was visiting from Florida and made me feel alot better about the worse course I play here. Only thing missing was a herd of cows grazing during play. Would not recommend to anyone! |
